cerebral projection fibers
The term cerebral projection fibers refers to nerve fibers that connect various areas of the cerebral cortex with the interbrain, the midbrain, the pons and the medulla. Major structures in which they are found include the cerebral white matter (including the internal capsule), the crus cerebri of the midbrain and the pyramidal tract ( Carpenter-1983 ).
