The term nucleus x refers to a group of cells located near the inferior cerebellar peduncle and the spinal trigeminal tract of the medulla in the human ( Holstein-2012 ), macaque ( Paxinos-2009a ), rat ( Swanson-1998 ) and mouse ( Paxinos-2001 ). Functionally it belongs to the vestibulomotor regions of the behavior control column ( Swanson-2004 ).
