Tectum (Schiebler)
Acronym:
The term Tectum (Schiebler) refers to a part of the brainstem subdivided longitudinally. It includes the tectum of the midbrain, the cerebellum, the superior medullary velum, the inferior medullary velum, the gracilis tubercle of the medulla and the cuneate tubercle. The other parts of the brainstem so divided are the anterior part of the brainstem, the brainstem tegmentum and the ventricular system of the brainstem ( Schiebler-1999 ).
